DR SUN YAT-SEN MUSEUM

This superb building dating back to 1914 and recently restored has long been the property of the comprador Ho Kom Tong, an employee of the famous Jardine, Matheson & Co. The exhibition recounts the history of Dr Sun, the founder of the Republic of China in 1911, and his relationship with Hong Kong, where he had many political allies. The place is really worth seeing, especially since 2011 marks the centenary of this event, which marked the end of the Qing dynasty and China's bid to the Western powers.
