Located at 1,916 meters above sea level, the Longji terraces are considered to be among the finest rice fields across the country. Cultivated from the xiiith century under the Yuan dynasty, Longji's rice fields were quickly occupied by the Zhuang and Yao minorities. Here families live in the heart of the 66 km ² of rice fields and pass on traditional wooden houses from generation to generation. The landscape changes seasonally. If you visit the site in early spring, you will see the rice fields filled with water. The reflection of the sky on the terraces of the terraces will give you the impression of seeing massive silver coins. In the fall, the rice fields transform: The forests surrounding them take their ochre and yellow clothes… The landscape is splendid. As soon as you arrive, take a good walk. Provide good shoes and water (summer). The climb is not a rest, but the show is worth a visit. On your road leading to heaven, you will be allocated by young women Zhuang or Yao who will always try to sell you jewelry or souvenirs. The only reason is therefore: won by mass tourism, the place lacks a little natural!
