Palau is the obligatory point of passage for the archipelago of La Maddalena. With this exception, the town has no particular interest except for its pleasant marina. However, it has a good tourist infrastructure and many restaurants in the port. Along its eastern coastline is Capo d'Orso, a granite rock sculpted by the wind with the curious silhouette of a bear. Just a short distance from the town, the amazing village of Porto Rafael is waiting for you, and a few kilometers further west, a wild and jagged coastline. Palau is strategically located for exploring the northern part of the Gallura region.
