20 km to the east, on the Great Eastern Highway. These hills, which run parallel to the coast, are popular with Perth locals. They picnic here during their bush walks. To get there, take the Midland Railway Line and change at Midland station (bus 320). From these heights overlooking the Perth plain, there's a fine view of the metropolis' skyscrapers rising in the distance. In John Forrest National Park, wild flowers bloom in spring.
