Established in 1916, this is Tasmania's oldest national park. The southern part of the park is covered by dense rainforest. A path winds through giant tree ferns to Russell Falls, a superb waterfall. From here, you continue into the forest of giant eucalyptus trees, the tallest of which reaches 79 m. Several hikes are available to discover the local vegetation: snow gum (snow eucalyptus), pencil pine with its tortured trunk, pandanus, waratah, sassafras, bottle brush... A serviced campground is located at the park entrance. Please note: the Tasmania Parks Pass is compulsory.
