On the lake, this former boathouse has been converted into an elegant restaurant overlooking Parliament House. You can have lunch or dinner here, but we recommend that you go in the evening. On an intimate table, the chef will propose a 4-course tasting menu: oysters, scallops, pork chop with romesco sauce, simmered lamb, beet cheesecake, all washed down, of course, with very good wines served by attentive sommeliers. The must: on the evening of July 14, you can taste truffle specialties from France.

This renowned restaurant is located in the Burbury Hotel. It serves modern, refined and upscale Chinese cuisine. The restaurant specializes in seafood, including lobster, shrimp, squid and scallops. The lunch and dinner menus are different, the evening menu being more extensive. The associations are creative, the cooks know how to play with flavors and textures... A culinary experience that will leave your mouth watering...

The Civic Pub offers salads, burgers and pastas, but it is above all an address for the "viandais"! Here, the chicken is in the spotlight: pesto chicken, chicken schnitzel, chicken Parma, chicken & chorizo. Refresh yourself with a wide variety of local beers or gather around a good bottle of wine. We appreciate the warm atmosphere of this lively pub as much as the decoration which seduces by its authenticity. You can stay late into the night, drinking pints of beer and playing pool.

The Kingston is a pleasant pub still in its original state. It offers two types of catering: the Maddies, which serves full, fairly simple menus, and the Grill, which invites each customer to prepare his or her own steak. However, the staff can also take care of the preparation and offer other more classic dishes such as pizzas and pastas... A takeaway service (Poppa's Burgers and Poppa's Pastas) is also available. The dishes are very good, the sauces particularly tasty and the outdoor garden very pleasant.

Located in the New Acton Precinct, the Parlour Wine Room is an elegant address, chic without being stuffy, and ideal for a meal in all confidentiality. Subdued lights, careful decoration, vintage furniture... This wine bar offers a generous service and tasty bottles that are accompanied by excellent tapas or dishes to share. Opt for a nice table on the terrace and enjoy some of the more or less classic dishes of the house (beef, barramundi, gnocchi) or, if you don't like wine, try one of the cocktails offered.

Opened in February 2024, this small restaurant is our favorite address for breakfast or brunch in Canberra, a stone's throw from the hyper-city center. The menu offers a wide choice of pancakes, savoury dishes such asavocado toast and corn fritters, but everything is very well cooked. The drinks menu offers the classic Australian coffees, as well as generous and very good smoothies. The restaurant is not very convivial, but the quality of the food makes up for it: we give this café 10 out of 10.
