Mount Victoria Village is the highest town in the Blue Mountains (1,059 m). It is a National Heritage Site because of its many historic buildings, including the Old Post Office (1876), The Imperial Hotel (1878), St Peter's Church of England (1874), The Manor House (1876) and The Toll Keepers Cottage (1849). From Mount Victoria, you are close to Hartley and the junction to Jenolan Caves by taking the Great Western Highway and its vertiginous descent in its part called Victoria Pass. It is also possible to reach Sydney from the north and the Bells Line of Road (Highway 40) via the Darling Causeway.
