This small fishing village is very picturesque, but not very lively. Small pedestrian streets form a dense and labyrinthine network in the historic centre. The old fishing port is surrounded by a few small restaurants famous for fresh fish and its new port is built in a cove protected by a large dyke when giant waves are raging in winter. A few new rental apartment complexes have sprung up, but the real estate crisis has halted their construction, giving this part of the village the appearance of a ghost town. But it remains ideal for a quiet stay near beautiful beaches and not far from Corralejo.
