It is a small picturesque village located on the heights of Santa Cruz de La Palma. Only four kilometres from the city centre, but already in the heart of the forest. And what's more, regularly connected by bus. Its main attraction is the church of Nuestra Senora de Las Nieves. There is a small 16th century church which, in the shady square of the village, houses a terracotta statue representing the patron saint of the island. This place is the starting point for the island's most important fiesta, the bajada de la Virgen de las Nieves, which takes place every five years on the 5th of August and takes the statue to Santa Cruz de La Palma.
