10 kilometres below Valverde, on either side of the airport, these two small seaside resorts, with their lava rock creeks, are well sheltered and make it easy to swim, especially in the natural swimming pool of La Caleta, where the Bimbaches used to come to bathe. El Tamaduste was built around a fishing village, and the contrast of its white houses with the black basalt rock is pleasing to the eye. La Caleta, more recent, was nevertheless a place where the Bimbaches lived according to the traces they left there. The resort has a few apartments for rent and bars, rather than restaurants.
