From the pass that connects Vallehermoso to Valle Gran Rey, a small road descends to the village of Alojera, on the west coast, with a view of the Lomo del Carretón, a basaltic rocky bar cut into organs, much less beautiful than those of Los Organos in the north of the island. Alojera, with its charming little beach, is the ideal place to have a bite to eat and rest on the sand, also enjoying a small natural pool for children next to the Muelle. The municipality is a great producer of cheese, but also of the island's specialty, palm syrup, guarapo, an activity to which a dozen companies are dedicated.
