This small, peaceful and rural village lives off the agricultural resources of its fertile valley, planted with banana trees growing on green plateaus. You will immediately see an impressive rock, the Roque Cano, the basalt heart of a volcano eroded by time and emblem of the municipality. In 2005, a rock fall revealed a cave full of human bones on Vallehermoso beach and after much research, archaeologists from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria finally discovered that it was a Guanche burial site, more than 1,500 years old. All the life of the village is organized around the Plaza de la Constitución.
