The hotel claims a 5-star rating, but in our experience, it's more akin to a three-star establishment. While the rooms are spacious and offer comfortable amenities like large beds and ample storage, cleanliness seemed to be an issue. Despite the luxurious bathroom amenities and powerful shower, the cleaning standards fell short, leaving floors dirty enough to darken your feet after a stroll around the room.
The pools offer a mix of temperatures, with one being icy enough to make a penguin shiver and the other comfortably heated. The poolside loungers are indeed cozy, but the surrounding areas could have benefitted from more frequent cleaning - frankly disgustingly dirty.
Breakfast at the main buffet area provided a wide selection of dishes, though the repetition over two weeks grew tiresome.
Unfortunately, the staff's level of service left much to be desired. Many seemed disinterested and failed to meet basic standards of hospitality, others extremely rude. It was a rare sight to seem a happy and polite member of staff.
We were surprised to learn that even all-inclusive guests were required to pay extra for certain items, like cocktails and poolside snacks. For example a cocktail is €7.50 for standard guests and all inclusive guests must put €4.50 towards their cocktail.
In summary, while the GF Gran Costa Adeje boasts decent facilities, the overall experience was marred by cleanliness issues and lackluster staff performance. It's unlikely we'll return, but perhaps with more accurate marketing, guests' expectations could be better aligned with reality. If you do come, bring a mop! This is a 3 star hotel not 5

The hotel is rather bigger than it looks, and ya can easily get lost within the complex, the place is modern an very clean, loved how ya can see between all the floors an there is loads of foliage hanging between the verandas ????????????... certainly gave the place a tropical theme!!!. As others have said, this place is 5 stars, but I would place it more at 3.5 / 4*, its a great hotel but is slightly dated now with todays modern tastes, an dose have slight signs of age & wear. But this doesn't rely detract from what the hotel has to offer!!!.
The roof top adults only area is a little slice of heaven and deffently not to.be missed out on!!! ???????????? I spent many afternoon relaxing, having a dip in the pool and lapping up the rays in quite!!!. ????????????????????????...
The hotel staff themselves are amazing!!! An couldn't give them enough credit, fast and promt in every way with nothing being too much trouble!!
Ya soon get yo know the servers, an do have great laugh an banter with them, they are attentive with drinks. Soon as your near done, they are quick to ask if you would like more!! Plus, with a wide selection of cocktails and spirits, the evenings can soon get merry !! ????????????...
The food was rely good!! Each night, there was a different theme night, from traditional Spanish, chinese, and steak night. Italian ????. With a wide selection of starters,.main meals, and puddings on offer. You rely are spoilt for choice on what to have an were to start... deffenlty put a few pounds on over the week!! ????????..
Overall, I would rely recommend this place for families or couples and a deffenlty would consider going back!!
