To the north of the Playa de Las Américas and Los Cristianos, this small town has been a mecca of aboriginal culture, which can be found in the barranco del Infierno, already known to the Guanches, who left burial caves there. The entrance to this well signposted cave is located just above the church of Santa Ursula. This church, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as the Franciscan convent are among the few remnants that bear witness to its prosperous colonial past. At the exit of the city, begins an arid landscape with deep barrancos, ravines.
