Taking a small road up the western flank of the Teno massif, you reach the hamlet of Masca, after about 4 km of hairpin bends. The few houses extend their ancient roofs on a ridge, at the foot of a vertiginous peak, itself dominated by the gigantic cliffs of two deep barrancos that meet here. To become one, the barranco de Masca. The old part of Masca, called lomo viejo, is made up of small houses made from lava. This small village full of charm aspires to tranquillity. Formerly accessible only on foot, it has unfortunately become quite touristy.
