Iconic house with an interior patio with an embroidery school, a museum and an artisan and souvenir store

This emblematic house of the island is a 17th century mansion whose construction was completed in 1632. Considered to be the most important craft complex dedicated to openwork embroidery (calados) in the archipelago, it houses an embroidery school, a museum on Canarian customs, a craftsman's shop and a souvenir shop. The house is well worth a visit and the interior patio is really pretty, with its large gallery of balconies on the top floors and tropical vegetation. Upstairs, you will discover a reconstitution of a 17th century dwelling.

Vieille demeure intéressante
Certainement pas la visite la plus incontournable de l'île, mais si comme nous vous logez dans La Orotava, cette vieille demeure aux balcons impressionnants vaut le détour.

Très belle visite !
Un moment de calme dans ce lieux des plus typiques où on se laisse bercer par le chant des oiseaux dans le magnifique patio.
On se sent ici à une autre époque !

Evidemment, on peut y rentrer, car le rez-de-chaussée est occupé par des boutiques de souvenir, avec un choix assez vaste et des prix raisonnables. Pour le patio et l'étage, il faut payer en revanche, c'est un peu attrape-touristes...
