This picturesque village in the south of the island is part of Kato Meria. Nearby, you can visit the ruins of ancient Arkesini (fragments of walls, tombs, houses...). A 40-minute walk takes you to the village of Vroutsis. Arkesini is linked by bus to Chora and Katapola (day trips possible). A tavern rents out rooms on site. You can swim at Kalotaritissa or Paradissia, and walk to Aghioi Saranda (30 minutes), Mouros (20 minutes) or Mavri Miti. Nudists will opt for Faros. The beaches on this part of the island, even those accessible by car, have the advantage of being relatively uncrowded.
