BONATSA
Read moreBonatsa is the last restaurant on the beach of Platys Gialos. It is possible to eat on the deckchairs under the umbrellas, with your feet in the water. On the menu here: fresh fish from Mykonos, modern and light cuisine and sushi bar. Friendly owner, good staff and good quality products for a simple cuisine based on fresh products. Ideal for a light evening meal. And not very expensive to eat Japanese food (the dumplings and noodles were very good). In short, the food is as good as the setting is enchanting.
NAMMOS
Read moreThe Nammos is the most famous and certainly the most select beach restaurant on the south coast. You come here as a connoisseur for its refined menu, centred on fish dishes that are fresher than fresh, its impeccable professional service and the bohemian jet set, or hippie chic atmosphere that appeals so much to the stars on holiday. Who knows? Maybe you'll come across some here in season? I hear it's their favourite destination. It's not cheap, that's for sure. At least the beach bar also serves (slightly) cheaper snacks.
AVLI TOU THODORI
Read moreIn taking over the historic tavern run by his father, Thanassis Kousathanas decided to continue the tradition of excellence in cuisine while renovating the style of the restaurant. Today, it is an ideal combination of contemporary, sober and elegant decor and a cuisine that is as tasty as ever, featuring local products such as the famous seafood pasta and its famous stuffed chicken. The pasta is fresh and homemade and the staff is very kind. It is a must at Platys Gialos.
