Just 4 kilometers from the port, Platys Gialos is the largest seaside resort on the south coast. In addition to its wide, popular sandy beach, which lacks any real charm, it provides access to many of the region's more interesting beaches. In fact, Platys Gialos is the departure point for caiques to the beaches of Paranga, Paradise, Super Paradise and Agrari-Elia. The frequency and timetables of these caiques depend on the weather and the season, but remain regular.
