This oasis, 8.5 km from the port, is offered by the only Mykonian village outside the Chora. Its central square, surrounded by small cafés and restaurants, has a more authentic and traditional atmosphere than the rest of the island. The main reason for visiting Ano Meria is to eat. During the busy tourist season, the peace and quiet here is simply unbelievable. And in the off-season, we also found some good restaurants and some appreciable greenery. The Panaghia Tourliani monastery, founded in 1542 and renovated in 1767, has interesting architecture and houses a small museum.
