8 km from Gavrion and 27 from Chora, Batsi is the island's most touristic village, crowded and lined with cafés. It's a lively place in the evening. Tavernas and boutiques alternate on the quay, and at the end of the promenade stretches a long sandy beach. From Batsi, you can visit the 14th-century monastery of Zoodohos Pighi at Kapsorahi, 320 m above sea level, with its beautiful views, and the mountain village of Aghia Anna, 5 km away. If you take the road to the southern tip of the island, you'll also come across several beaches, some of them deserted. The nearest is Aghia Marina. By boat, you can reach Prassini.
