In summer, buses provide shuttle services. Otherwise (and out of season), you'll have to hire a car, as a cab is too expensive. It's not too expensive, however, as the road that starts at the end of Mylopotas beach will take you to paradise. Wind through the mountains and turn off just before the Kalamos monastery to reach the superb Manganari Bay. It is divided into five coves of fine sand or pebbles. But all of them have the emerald crystal waters that fueled some of the scenes in Luc Besson's Le Grand Bleu . Several water sports are available in summer. Tavernas offer fresh fish and rooms for rent.
