With its typically Cycladic character, its white houses enclose the hill, and its cobbled streets climb up to the kastro. The citadel was built by the Venetians in the 13th century, and although only a few ruins remain, a visit to it guarantees a particularly spectacular view at dusk. The beautiful church of Panagía tis Korfiátissas is also a great place to watch a superb sunset. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, it houses some magnificent icons. In this village you'll also find the island's archaeological museum, exhibiting finds from excavations carried out on Milos.
