Guided tour to access the interior of the house spetsiote bouboulina
Among the archontika, it is that of the Bouboulina. A heroic figure of the War of Independence, Laskarina Bouboulina was born in a prison in Istanbul but grew up partly in Spetses. She had ships built there with the money of her successive husbands, in order to fight against the Ottoman occupation. The guided tour takes you inside an old Spetses house. You will also see his statue in the town. A film, Bouboulina, released in 1959, was directed by Kostas Andritsos, with Irene Papas in the main role.
