The island of Poros, often overlooked by tourists, unfolds amphitheatrically above two rocky hills. The first is dominated by the Clock Tower (Roloi), the island's symbol, which is an irresistible eye-catcher as soon as you arrive at the port. You're bound to want to climb it after a stroll through the narrow streets of Kasteli, the oldest part of town, and past the superb two-storey neoclassical buildings, testimony to the prosperity of the island's rising middle class in the 19th century.
