The village can be seen from afar, thanks to its 13th-century keep, 33 metres high. At the entrance, the magnificent porch sets the scene: a medieval journey awaits visitors. The cobbled streets are lined with middle-class houses and winegrowers' cottages, a reminder of the town's rich winegrowing past. The white stone used for construction is arkose. When the sun shines on the walls, it casts a golden hue over the village. Artists have taken up residence in the village, opening their studios to the public. The terraces of the bars and restaurants invite you to take a gourmet break. Montpeyroux has been awarded the Plus Beau Village de France label.
