INSTITUT FRANÇAIS D’ATHÈNES

The IFA, much more than an educational institution, was founded in 1924 by Octave Merlier. As a promoter of French culture (in collaboration with the French Embassy in Greece), the IFA organizes events such as the Francophone Film Festival, which has a successful 20-year history in Athens. In addition, the media library, which is freely accessible, has more than 85,000 documents in French that can be borrowed. Café-bistro inside or in the shaded courtyard.
