Archaeological museum telling the history of Dubrovnik, with the tower near the Ploče gate to defend against Turkish attackers.
To get a feel for the archaeological history that built Dubrovnik, a visit to this museum is a must. The tower, near the Ploče Gate, was erected during the second half of the 15th century, with the purpose of defending the city from Turkish attackers. The Senate approved the designs of the architect Antonio Ferramolino to expand the structure, which was supposed to face the Venetian threat. We start with a witness of the medieval churches of the area before looking at the evolution of the fort.

Le fort Revelin renferme le club du même nom. Début août, durant le festival, des performances sont données un peu partout en ville (danses traditionnelles, contemporaines; théâtre, musique,...). Le sommet de la tour est un de ces lieux privilégié. Par contre, ce n'est pas couvert pour les spectateurs... prévoir de quoi se couvrir en cas de vent/pluie.
