If you're lucky enough to visit in the off-season, you'll discover a large, very contemporary restaurant with a retro-futuristic Mediterranean style and a resolutely urban feel. It offers fine plates of modern cuisine based on traditional Dalmatian recipes. A good selection of regional wines, with a charcuterie/cheese platter or burgers in the bistronomy formulas. Higher prices than elsewhere.

On the first floor of the palace Papalić, dating from the 15th century, is a restaurant where Mediterranean recipes (grilled fish, seafood risotto) are combined with international dishes, such as beef burgers with foie gras sauce, cheesecake, carrot cake. It's one of the addresses that's still in vogue with the locals. We appreciate the setting, the presentation, the market cuisine, the fresh seasonal produce. The service is rather fast and attentive. Friendly atmosphere, local and touristic at the same time.

On the menu, good wines and beers, excellent burgers and surprising boards of culinary products. In addition to we recommend that with ham, cheese from the island of Pag and candied figs. A must in Split for carnivores with exceptional meats matured on site. The menu changes every three months, and in winter there are meat dishes, charcuterie platters and local cheese. Vegetarians are entitled to the famous varivo, a complete soup of fresh and dried vegetables. In summer, seafood salads, fish of course, and all year round, good desserts, such as dark chocolate fondant. Nice selection of Croatian wines (excellent wine cellar inside the establishment where you can buy your own bottle).

With its terrace and bay windows directly overlooking the beach, this establishment plays the chic bistronomy card! Elegant interior, retro-futuristic decor, well-spaced tables where you can eat all year round. On the menu: Mexican salad, avocado, corn, charcuterie and local cheese platter with a selection of regional wines and carefully prepared plates for grilled meats (tuna or beef), seared to perfection with fries or southern vegetables, steaks in sauce, hearty burgers and delicious desserts.

A small intimate restaurant in a pedestrian alley in Split. Sitting at the bar or on small tables, you can enjoy the good Dalmatian cuisine skilfully concocted by the attentive chef, consisting of local charcuterie, meat or fish, shellfish, stew, pea soup. A beautiful variety that should satisfy all the guests. Villa Spiza is an authentic address, appreciated by the locals, with a good atmosphere, very much in demand and a quality service, with the smile of the waiters as a bonus. But there are only a few tables, first come, first served!

Far from the hustle and bustle of the historic city east of Split, the Dvor is primarily appreciated for its setting. With the sea view from the shaded terrace, the shaded terrace offers a pleasant moment in an elegant seaside atmosphere. At the table, we mainly serve fish dishes: white fish tartar, grilled red tuna steak, black risotto with seafood, octopus cooked over a wood fire. The wine list is varied to accompany your dishes. In a hidden alleyway, the tables of this konoba are set in front of large historical windows, opened for the emperor himself, in the surrounding wall. One comes here for this exceptional setting, to feel like Diocletian at his window watching the harbor. For more than forty years, the tavern has been serving traditional Croatian cuisine (seafood, grilled fish and meat, southern vegetables) or aperitif antipasti plates. If you are lucky, you will be able to sit at one of these mythical tables for food and drink only.

At the beach on a budget? Chang's is just the thing to change that. And the fusion of Asian and Adriatic cuisine works very well. Here, they pack your large portion of seafood, chicken or smoked tofu noodles with vegetables in a cardboard bowl (with chopsticks). Same take-out options for Asian BBQ kebabs, shrimp tempura, pad thai or the vegan wok. With that, a good green smoothie or a beer!

In one of the most touristy corners of the old town, this restaurant will suit lovers of bistronomes, brasserie. The classics of the Dalmatian table and international cuisine can be found here. As the name suggests, you can choose "stress-free" from the à la carte dishes served on colourful plates. Don't forget to accompany them with a good local wine and finish with a sweet and tasty dessert. Good welcome, quality service, even if sometimes overwhelmed by tourists. Friendly atmosphere.

On the road to the beach at Bačvice, this fish and seafood restaurant has always offered cheap local dishes in an old-fashioned Dalmatian atmosphere that tourists love. You can sit out on the terrace in the shade of the plane trees, or in the superb hall, which will take you back in time and experience the Split of yesteryear alongside the locals. Warm welcome that makes you feel at ease right away. Good wine list and good desserts as well.
