A small small island between Ugljan and Dugi Otok, populated by 657 inhabitants. It is probably the most picturesque island in the archipelago because the island has been able to preserve itself from mass tourism and keep its charm to the few adventurers who go there. With a surface area of only 18 km 2, the small island has been inhabited since prehistoric times, and the arrival of the first Croats on its soil dates back to the th century. The only two villages are Mali and Veli Iž. Veli Iž was famous for his pottery, and it is now a small tourist village with a hotel, a marina, a few restaurants and cafes, and especially a few hundred guest rooms, a privileged solution to stay on the island. Ferries guarantee the return from Zadar daily.
