The permanent collections of the Archaeological Museum of Zadar present a very rich prehistoric, ancient and medieval collection.

In 2014, the reopening of the archaeological museum was an event in Zadar. Then the conservation created a museographic scenography around a set of monumental statues, busts, sarcophagi and tombstones. Space was freed up for multimedia animation. The permanent exhibition of the medieval collections (between the 8th and 12th centuries), a collection constituted notably during the excavations of the necropolises near Nin, the temporary exhibitions and the replica store, are very interesting. On thesecond floor are the prehistoric collections.

Il est facile de se perdre dans les méandres de l'histoire de la région dans ce musée propre et où les objets sont bien mis en valeurs. Un étape incontournable à ceux qui voudraient mieux connaitre la Dalmatie en particulier

Situe au centre ville ce musee (qui dispose de la climatisation) est interessant avec des sucplture et objects de la periode romaine , hellenistique et medievale! A faire si vous restez plusieurs jours a zadar !

très beau musée archéologique qui expose des merveilles des 2 cotés de l'Adriatique, d'une façon très méthodique.
De plus, l'accueil est très sympa, et le forum à l'extérieur vous met vraiment dans l'ambiance.
