Despite the wind, vines thrive in the north of the island of Pag, while the centuries-old olive trees near Lun benefit from a protected area. In the south, sea salt production endures, as do traditional crafts: lace, local cheese-making (the famous paški) and sage honey.Beautiful seascapes, the historic town of Stari Grad Pag, a well-sheltered marina (Šimuni) and a wide bay lined with 20 km of beaches (Golija, Kozlinjak, Dubrava, Bosana, Tartanovo, Sveti Marko, Sveta Marija, Filino, Ručica Metajna) all contribute to the town's reputation. Novalja's beaches and beach bars attract many clubbers.
