This two-storey residence was built in 1972 to recreate the traditional atmosphere of mountain chalets. Restored in 2015, it has retained its rustic feel and continues to offer quality local cuisine. On the menu, barley soup, spit-roasted lamb, a stew of meats with potatoes and vegetables in sauce under peka placed on the coals (to order), local ham and cheese, pan-fried trout, blitva, homemade yoghurt... Good and authentic.

Located just opposite to the gate 1 of Plitvice National Park. Prices are higher for Croatian standard but okay if you consider the prime location. The food was really delicious and authentic. Loved their grill and smoky flavour. Service was unfortunately quite slow probably because of their traditional way of grill or whatsoever. Ambience is beautiful has both outdoor and indoor sittings.

Das Essen sehr mittelmässig und dadurch total überteuert. Das Fleisch war 30% mit Fett durchsetzt.
Achtung, Hunde sind nicht erlaubt im Innenbereich, weshalb wir draussen frieren mussten. Deshalb nur 2 Sterne fürs Ambiente. Der Kellner war sehr nett.

Tasty food, especially local cheese and bread. Love to see meat being prepared in the fire. But especially highly appreciate staff and their outfits - they serve food to tourists / park visitors, not to opera / theater guests. We are dirty, smelly, but they still wear white collars and uniforms! Prices, well... ;)
