The old town, dominating the plain, retains all its charm, with its historic houses and public buildings (Middle Ages, Renaissance). It also has an interesting mining past. In the 1960s, the population left the area, as the tunnels linking the mined-out underground passages had weakened the foundations of the upper town. However, artists set up studios in the various abandoned palaces. The oldest of them, Quintino Bassani (1928-2007), is still exhibited in the gallery that once belonged to him. Don't miss the Park skulptura Dubrova sculpture park.
