Events calendar Le Mont-Dore

At the beginning of Chambon-sur-Lac, the 250 participants heat the engines to reach the summit of Mont-Dore, some 5 kilometers further! At a height of 381 m for an average slope of 7,5%, this stage of the France and Europe Championship celebrated its fiftieth edition in 2010. Considered to be 100 m of motor sport, this discipline always impresses, and to believe the many spectators who massage along the course, the vibrations of the cylinders do not tremble only the mountains of Auvergne, but also the hearts of their guardians.

Auvergne is known for its sumptuous volcanic landscapes and is now recognized for its international festival Mont-Dore Volcanic Blues. Again this year, the authentic blues is in honor. A peak of rock'n'roll and soul music will come to tickle our feet to make these 4 days a real feast. Even more so, lovers of blue music know that they will gather in the bars, cafés and restaurants of the station a conviviality and proximity with the artists, guarantees that the spirit of this music will remain joyful and popular. In Auvergne, volcanoes attract visitors to both winter and summer. Located in the heart of the Massif Massif, the volcanic cone of Mont-Dore is famous for its ski area and spa. Lovers of cross-country skiing and snowshoes can give you an appointment in the Capuchin area. It has three cross-country ski loops, 1,5 km, 2,8 km and 4,5 km, as well as longer round-trip trails. Different routes are available for snowshoes, but all can be found in a multi-activity circuit and a circuit for children who allow skiers to meet snowshoes and hikers.
