Time difference Istanbul

Turkey no longer changes time, so it has a two-hour time difference with France in winter and one hour in summer. When it is 11 am in France, it is 1 pm in Turkey in winter and 12 am in summer.

Opening hours Istanbul

To see / To do Istanbul

In general, most stores in Istanbul open in the late morning and close later than in France, especially in summer. Except for state-related institutions, most establishments are open on weekends. During the month of Ramadan, opening hours are adjusted, and some restaurants may be closed during the day.

Enjoying yourself Istanbul

In Turkey, except during Ramadan, and especially in Istanbul, there are no fixed times for eating: you eat when you are hungry. Most restaurants offer continuous service. On weekends, some places serve breakfast until 1:30 pm.

Take a break Istanbul

Bars and cafes are generally open all day and every day, but some pubs or cocktail bars only open around 4pm. Often, at the end of the day, after work or on weekends, Istanbulites go out for a drink.
