Hıdrellez celebrates the arrival of spring. On the programme: dance shows, entertainment for children and meetings.
Hıdrellez is an ancient Turkish festival of pre-Islamic origin celebrating the arrival of spring on a fixed date, 6 May (beginning of the festivities the evening before). It takes place at Ahırkapı, an area located between the Marmara Sea and the Blue Mosque. During this free festival, many music groups liven up the neighbourhood. Also on the programme: dance shows, entertainment for children and meetings.
