Located in the old town of Cairo in Foustat, buildings built according to traditional architecture have 32 workshops of potters who sell on-site their creations.

This project, initiated by the governorate of Cairo, was supported by the International Habitat Coalition and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is 600 people who live on the incomes of artisans who were potters in Foustat in 2005.
