This brand-new venue is exceptional, in the heart of Paje, which is becoming increasingly young and trendy. The wooden interior is warm and inviting. On one side, a large food court where several local brands are represented: Italian pizzas, noodles, sushi, burgers, Mexican specialties, seafood, and even crepes, ice creams... On the other, a bar with a few eats-stands in the sand and on a planted terrace upstairs. It faces a tattoo parlour and a beach boutique. Live music jam session on Fridays and DJ set on Saturdays, from 8pm to 11pm.

Yeoyum is New York spirit on Pajé beach. The Liquid Life hostel's restaurant is a great spot to devour a burger, a brownie, but above all a "box", superb dishes served in cardboard boxes presented in a rainbow of flavors. The basic salad (rice, coconut, mango, avocado, arugula, radish, red cabbage and sesame carrot pickle, pineapple-passion sauce) is topped with tempura shrimp, honey halloumi, sweet and sour chicken or cauliflower sauce, with toppings (crispy onions, chickpeas, peanuts...). We love it!

For some time now, new restaurants have been opening along Pajé's main road, changing the habits of tourists usually concentrated on the beach. The Pants is an excellent new restaurant, decorated in a very plant-based style, serving only vegetarian and vegan specialties. The upstairs terrace with its pretty wooden tables is a delight from breakfast to dinner. Everything is delicious, varied, fresh and tasty, making it feel like a canteen. A nice change from seafood.

Les Portes de Zanzibar" is the main restaurant at Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa, Zanzibar's only Relais & Châteaux. The bistronomic table in this luxury setting is worthy of its standing. Under the leadership of chef Emmanuel Richard Mruma, African fusion dishes of rare finesse are served à la carte for dinner. They are sourced locally, from the hotel's organic vegetable garden and the day's catch. The ambience is distinguished in the beautiful lounge with its white tablecloths, illuminated by chandeliers.

Here's a new restaurant in Paje that's well worth a visit for lunch or dinner. Right on the beach, Oxygen boasts an upstairs terrace facing the sea. The à la carte menu features remarkably well-presented plates of finely prepared dishes. Tuna tartare with avocado compote, fish fillet encrusted with cashew nuts, sushi topped with mango, avocado and fine herbs are to die for, as is the lobster, prepared with great flavor. The place is also festive, ideal for a drink.

On its beautifully decorated deck facing the sea, Delight Zanzibar is a white ship in which one wants to linger. More than just an exceptional coffee shop serving sweet espressos and tempting desserts, salads and healthy wraps, it is also an excellent restaurant-pizzeria. You can enjoy it from breakfast to dinner, both on the swings and the cosy benches. The pizzas are the best in Pajé, and the dishes, where you can feel the Italian know-how, with local ingredients are all to die for.

Moto Moto is the restaurant of the new Zula hotel in Pajé center. An enchanting, trendy setting facing the beach, with feet in the sand and a wooden terrace, with cosy banquettes colored with pretty wax cushions. Above, the hotel's plexiglass swimming pool adds a whimsical touch to the setting. Well-chosen background music invites you to enjoy a fresh juice, cocktail or glass of wine. On the food side, local cuisine concocted with fresh, natural ingredients is served, including vegetarian options and seafood specialties.

This roadside restaurant at the entrance to the village is a benchmark. Red-checked Maasai tablecloths adorn the tables. Extreme care is taken with every dish, from the presentation and perfectly mastered cooking to the balance of spices. The fish wrap is as enticing as the octopus salad. Plates are always accompanied by a small salad. His strong point is the sauces, whose Zanzibar secrets have not been revealed. Grilled crabs and lobsters are also affordable.

This local restaurant offers dishes that are a change from the usual menus, particularly Swahili and therefore authentic. We like an interesting sea kebab, samosas, octopus with coconut curry and the famous jumbo prawns, a succulent crab soup as well as other Swahili curries served with chapati, coconut rice and vegetables. The lobster is prepared with cashew nuts and a spicy Indian sauce. For vegetarians, the vegan pizzas are perfect, as is the mango feta and raw vegetable salad.

We know the B4 for its electro nights on Saturdays and also on Tuesdays in high season, but the address is interesting during the day and in the evening, for its slates of gourmet burgers served quickly and at a moderate price. For a change from grilled seafood, this is a perfect option! It is accompanied by large home fries and a smoothie, fresh fruit juice or exotic cocktail. Deckchairs to chill out on the beach in front of the place and a rather groovy musical background dress up the place which organizes movie nights, BBQ or sushis some evenings of the week.

This small local restaurant located in the village has set the bar high to compete with hotel restaurants by focusing on enchanting local cuisine. The freshness of the sea products is irreproachable. The speciality here is grilled fish, lobsters, lobster, octopus, etc., at prices lower than those of the refined tables.
