We proudly opened our first Watersports base at Nungwi Beach in 2017. Since then, we have become a leading PADI dive centre in Zanzibar and have diversified our water activities to cater to all our ocean loving guests. Kendwa Rocks became our second base in 2019 and offers the same high standards of professionalism, safety and fun that Zanzibar Watersports is known for. Our long experience with the Divers Alert Network (DAN) and our accreditation as a DAN dive safety partner means that Zanzibar Watersports meets the highest safety standards.

By always keeping our groups small and manageable, you will have the opportunity to experience every moment on the ocean as special. We stay true to the relaxed atmosphere of Zanzibar by making sure you never feel rushed on the water. There is always a good balance between adventure and relaxation with us. Good friends have been made talking excitedly about the new creatures they have seen. There's nothing like swimming next to a group of playful dolphins or spotting another turtle to get everyone talking.

Nungwi Beach

Zanzibar Watersports' flagship base is located at Paradise Beach Bungalows, in the heart of Nungwi village. This dive centre is recognised as a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Dive Resort, which is the highest level in East Africa, and means that we are qualified to teach the full suite of PADI courses. We offer personalised diving, fishing and other water sport activities to guests staying at the resort as well as those at surrounding hotels. Nungwi is a popular destination on the island, offering amazing dive sites and a thriving entertainment scene.

Kendwa Rocks Beach

Just 5km south of Nungwi, Kendwa Rocks beach is home to the newest base for the Zanzibar Watersports team. This dive center is also recognized as a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Dive Resort. This means that we can teach all PADI courses, from beginner to professional. We offer all of our exciting water activities from Kendwa Rocks to our guests on site and at nearby hotels. Kendwa Rocks has one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. Its incredibly wide sandy beaches make it a great place to play or just relax when you are not in the water.
