One can admire and buy the paintings of this Tinga Tinga painting cooperative. It is a style and a school, now well known in the field of contemporary African arts, born in Dar es Salaam in the early 1970s. Tinga Tinga paintings are part of the Ndonde tradition of wall art, which decorates their huts with these drawings of animals and characters. The style became famous thanks to a Ndonde, Edward Saidi Tingatinga, who popularized it in Dar.
