It's hard to miss this large green neon sign that dominates the esplanade near the King Abdullah I mosque. The reception is located on the 7th floor. The rooms are spacious and impeccable and attract a loyal clientele. They are well equipped (TV, telephone, mini bar, air conditioning, hair dryer), well decorated and the lighting is pleasant. There is also a restaurant, a gym, a sauna, a swimming pool and a whirlpool inside, open for men or women depending on the day. An address to remember!

Farah Hotel is undoubtedly the best address in downtown for budget travelers. Located in the heart of old Amman, in a small, quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac, it attracts backpackers from all over the world. In the rooms, the effort has been put on the equipment rather than on the decoration: TV, telephone, wi-fi, and especially air conditioning. You will enjoy a friendly welcome in a friendly international atmosphere. The hotel also offers tours of the countries at interesting prices. A very practical option for those without vehicles.

Located on the outskirts of Amman, the hotel is in the heart of the business district. The hotel's 1970s decor may seem outdated, but it has clean, comfortable rooms if you like carpeting and flowery curtains. There's also a fitness center, an indoor pool, and a restaurant that serves somewhat lackluster international cuisine. The shops in the lobby offer local items that are qualitative but not overpriced. Ask to choose your room location if needed.

The Arab Tower Hotel is an interesting option both for its location and for the very good value for money it offers. All rooms are very clean, air-conditioned and equipped with TV with international channels, minibar and double glazing. Some suites have a kitchenette. Renovated in 2017, this is an address that has something to delight backpackers looking for a pleasant environment. Enjoying a good location on the heights, it seduces with its simple and neutral decoration, the brightness in the rooms and its large friendly room. The Sydney Hotel offers mixed dormitories, women's dormitories, single, double or triple rooms, with or without bathroom, to suit all budgets. The dining room is the ideal place to meet and socialize with the friendly staff.

This hotel remains the best plan for the average budgets in Amman, because it offers about sixty very well equipped rooms (minibar, plasma TV, telephone, wifi, air conditioning...), with very recent furniture. The beds are large and comfortable, but the rooms and especially the shower rooms can be a bit cramped. The very friendly reception shows the famous Jordanian hospitality. The decoration is rather impersonal, but the great asset of this hotel is the service. The staff is very attentive, from the reception to the restaurant. The hotel also benefits from a small outdoor pool, which can make a difference in summer when the city air is stuffy or with children.

The Crowne Plaza Amman is a little off-center, just above the 6th Circle. But it has the advantage of having more space for its infrastructure: huge outdoor pool in a beautiful wooded area, indoor pool, spa, sauna, and hammam, Turkish baths (hot marble), fitness room ... The small plus of the rooms: the view, because the building dominates the district, and the pastries which will await you on arrival. The rooms are all very well equipped (telephone, plasma TV, air conditioning, minibar, safe, wifi...). Lounge very pleasant, staff with the small care.

This superb hotel is located on the^5th Circle and faces a competitor, the Four Seasons. We like the open air lounge with its wooden furniture and white sofas installed just above the reception. The rooms are very comfortable, but we regret their rather impersonal decoration. We could just as easily be on the American East Coast. On the service side, nothing is missing: outdoor and indoor pools, spa, restaurants..

Its off-centre location is not too disturbing, considering that you have a plethora of restaurants within walking distance. On the other hand, what to think of the rooms equipped with English electric plugs (and without the possibility of lending an adapter at the reception), of their worn carpet, of the traces of mould in the shower, of the indigent breakfast buffet? We would have liked to support this French brand, but unfortunately, with the exception of a design lobby and friendly staff, everything is to be reviewed.

This establishment is especially well located, in a quiet street in a busy area. The decoration is a bit cold, but tasteful and the staff is friendly and warm. Although it is one of the oldest hotels in Amman (more than 50 years old), it does not lack modernity and is regularly updated. It has the famous Cube nightclub, (arm yourself with earplugs on Thursday night), a pub on the terrace, the Jar'D, but also the District and Tipsy Cow restaurants. A little chic, but not too expensive, and very fashionable!

A cheap hotel "with feeling" in the center of Amman? It is possible! This address, located in a beautiful Art Deco building from the 1920s, combines a central location, a tasteful decoration and a welcome that will make you appreciate the sense of "Jordanian hospitality" that we insist on so much. The rooms are a little small, but some have balconies, and all are spotlessly clean. From the terrace, you can enjoy the liveliness of the street, one of the most strategic in old Amman.

The InterContinental Amman, formerly known as Hotel Jordan, was in fact the first 5-star hotel in the country to open in 1963. Its exceptional location, close to the lower city and shopping, its international cuisine and the elegance of its luxurious interiors with oriental touches will seduce you during your stay. The 14 rooms have been designed in honour of an Arab music celebrity (without being too kitschy!). Choose to sleep in the world of Feiruz, Ashmahan or Oum Kalthoum. The rooms are clean, modern and the staff is very polite. One of the few charming addresses in Amman.
