Museum recounting Estonian history from the beginning of colonization to the proclamation of the Republic of Estonia.
The museum traces the history of the town from its origins to the present day. It was founded by the Archaeological Society, which brings together history lovers. Created in 1909, the museum was burned during the Second World War, damaging part of the collection and many unique objects. Today, the museum offers an insight into Estonian history from the beginning of the Mesolithic settlement to the proclamation of the Republic of Estonia. Also exhibitions.
