This large baroque house located in a quiet street of the old Plovdiv hosted Alphonse de Lamartine for three nights in July 1833 during the writing of his Journey to the Orient. A small museum is dedicated to the writer, his family and his places of residence. A map retraces his journey in Bulgaria. The legends are in Bulgarian and French. A visit not to be missed, especially for those nostalgic for France who will meet one of their compatriots.

un charme fou
C'est surement une des plus belles maisons de la vieille ville, vous ne pouvez la manquer, ses couleurs sont incroyables et son avancée de bois curieux! Son environnement est aussi très beau avec 3 belles maisons typiques du même style. La maison Lamartine ne se visitait pas lors de notre passage.
