This festival celebrated its 50 year anniversary in 2017. The theater plays of all of Algeria are represented at the Regional Theater and the Maison de la culture Ould-Abderrahmane-Kaki.

Created in 1967, Mostaganem's National Amateur Theater Festival is the oldest cultural event in Africa and the Arab world.
