About twenty souvenir stands are scattered along the sidewalk of Francis Rachel Street, from the court to the beautiful National Library. If you're a fan of18-carat bizou an lor and/or natural materials, you'll find it hard not to fall for the creations of Claudio Izzi, who has designed a collection of jewelry and decorative objects to the glory of the Seychelles, based on tropical motifs: palm tree, coco de mer, fish, turtle... On certain models, its craftsmen combine gold, mother-of-pearl, shell and coconut shell: quality workmanship. Kreolor has other boutiques on Mahé (Kenwyn House, airport, Eden Island, etc.) and one on La Digue.

Another Italian goldsmith in the field. In this case, gold, silver and... rhinestone! Brooches, bracelets, necklaces, pendants and key rings are based on typical Seychelles themes: from the starfish to the big hibiscus, from the turtle to the gecko and from the shell to the inevitable coconut shell, widely used in the different collections. Riccardo Carbognin, who has been working in the archipelago for decades, also distributes his jewellery in the Portofino boutique on Eden Island in Mahé.

Pineapple Studio is without doubt one of the best beachwear boutiques in the country. Designer Nicole Nichone-Johnston offers pareos, shorts, shirts, bags and T-shirts in beautiful cotton, screen-printed with exotic chic and made in Seychelles. You'll also find a number of attractive handicrafts, including crockery, soap and jewelry. Note: you can visit the brand's workshop at Anse aux Poules Bleues on Mahé's west coast (open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
