The famous store of the late Kantilal Jivan Shah, who passed away in 2010, is still visited for its fabrics. We bitterly miss this fascinating character of Indian origin, whose family, coming from Bombay, had settled in Mahé more than a century ago. Personality or simple tourist, people came from all over the world to consult this wise man from the Indian Ocean. As the representative in the Seychelles of the International Council for the Protection of Birds, the scholar Kanti has contributed, throughout the world, to making known the natural riches of his archipelago. Not to be missed!
