Highly appreciated by Europeans for the simplicity of its architecture and its gardens sown with bamboos, miniature bridges and bonsais, the temple of Confucius is a quiet and restful place all year round, except on 28 September, Confucius' birthday, when a great ceremony is held. As the first temple in Taipei dedicated to Confucius was demolished by the Japanese in 1907, it was unthinkable that a city of such importance would not have a temple dedicated to the philosopher. The present building was therefore built between 1927 and 1955.

Very interesting temple to learn more about Confucianism. The entrance is free and there is even a 3d projection that teaches you more.
