Also known as Long Beach, this bay lies immediately to the south of Klong Dao. On the island's west coast road, the boundary between the two beaches is marked by a cluster of shops, houses, bars and restaurants, forming the small community of Phra Ae. A number of resorts, cafés and restaurants are accessible from the road, stretching for several kilometers. The beach, one of the island's most attractive, stretches for 4 km. In high season, the southern part is one of the island's liveliest, thanks to the many beach bars, which also offer occasional themed evenings.
