PHUKET THAI HUA MUSEUM

This interesting museum is located in a superb building of Sino-Portuguese colonial style dating from 1917. It relates the settlement of the Chinese community in Phuket at the time of the tin mines, in the ^19th century. Several rooms dedicated to the glory of Chinese culture retrace this real adventure and help to better understand the mix of cultures on the island. A large section is dedicated to the architecture of the old houses of Phuket Old Town, with even a reproduction of a shophouse. Count on a good hour of visit.
